Finally, we have a classroom which is the final transition before going to ‘big school’. Wise Owls room operates as our pre-school classroom.
The emphasis is on the provision of the building blocks that the children need in order to become active in their own development. This allows for school-readiness and gives the children empowerment in their future learning. All key learning and new concepts are delivered both individually and within groups, the latter opening the floor for collaborative discussion. This allows our Wise Owls to ask questions and to problem-solve with the guidance of the staff and to further their development. Our play space is divided into key areas of interest for the children to explore.
Every day we run a circle time is where the children will sit in a circle or half circle with a member of our Wise Owls staff who will take the initial lead and it’s a casual way in which children develop their social skills but in a relaxed environment. We encourage the children to listen and speak confidential in a group and build relationships with their friends.
We also have a large, interactive screen where children can take part in group-led educational activities.
